• The university of Tartu Botanical Garden. The oldest botanical garden in the Baltic States, operating for more than 200 years in the same location. The garden is designed by world-renowned botanists, professors Ledebour and Bunge. Guests can visit the garden for free.  

• Tartu nature house. The Tartu Nature House is a symbiosis between a zoo, botanical garden and school inspired by tree stump. 

• Trails and hike in Tartu region. The region of Tartu has numerous fairy tale hiking trails. Some claim that trolls have even been spotted on these trails. 

• Traditional smoke sauna. A traditional sauna session lasts at least three hours. The rich aroma of burning wood can be  complemented by a whispered note of meat smoked in the sauna, birch boughs or sauna honey. Mostly the sauna is located next to a pond, during the winter, you can quickly dip yourself in the nearby icy waters.
