• Sykkylven is A small village in a beautiful piece of nature in the middle of the fjord. The village can get isolated with heavy snowfall. You reach the village with an electric ferryboat. 

• Sunnmørsalpane Skiarena Fjellsætra. At Fjellseter in Sykkylven you will find an alpine resort in a scenic area, with a complete family offer. The ski arena has 14 alpine trails, 35 km of groomed cross-country tracks, and great areas for snowboarding and playing in the snow.

• Stranda is a unique location between deep fjords and mighty mountains. As an all-year-round destination, Stranda offers plenty of hiking terrain and leisure activities all year round. In the restaurant at Stranda ski resort you have a wonderful view across over the fjord. 

• Ålesund. Ålesund (pronounced 'Olesund') is a beautiful town on the Norwegian west coast only 30 minutes away from Sykkylven, between Bergen and Trondheim. It is best known for its striking Art Nouveau architecture and is definitely worth a visit. From the Northern Lights in winter to spectacular sea safaris in Ålesund in Norway, culture and nature are guaranteed to come together.
